Our Playlist for you!

Part of what makes us a uniquely different Physiotherapy practice is our belief that health is as important as healthcare. Better health can come from simple things like moving more, being more mindful about how you move (and rest), and generally from having a positive attitude. What better way to promote better health than with music 🎶🎧🎸

We’ve put together this playlist to help you to keep movin’. Some of the tracks will motivate you to take some exercise (whether that’s lifting weights, dancing or simply going for a walk), while others will encourage you to chill out and be mindful (important for recovery and better mental health). Some might just make you smile!

You’ll need a Spotify account to listen. It’s easy to set up if you haven’t got one yet.

Enjoy and stay well!

Promoting Health, and Healthcare

We are extending our reach by hosting a best practice educational weekend for Physios and other practitioners who manage painful shoulders. Promoting more health and healthcare expertise is a responsibility we take seriously; just another way we deliver our purpose of ‘reconnecting you to your community’. Check out the What Makes Us Different page once you’re done reading this post.

We have partnered with Adam Meakins to deliver this amazing course. Adam is a world-leading Specialist Physiotherapist, Sports Scientist, and Strength & Conditioning Coach who works in the NHS and private practice in the UK. Sometimes complexity is best managed by a simple approach. We’re excited to learn how Adam has applied this philosophy to managing painful shoulders.

Our friends at Iceni Training are kindly providing their gym space to accommodate this training weekend…plenty of space for those who will attend to move about and practice what they learn.

We’re off to the Races again…

We’re very pleased to be sponsoring the Boxted 10K Fun Run on June 11th. We’ll have our spot just at the end of the race. You won’t really be able to miss us – we’ll be under our Physio 3.0 gazebo. So, if you’re running – or just supporting your runners – then do stop by our stall. You’ll meet Jo, our Lead Physio who is a specialist in muscle and joint injury, and Naomi, our Associate Physio who is a specialist in Women’s health.

Check out more on the event here.

Healthcare is complex

Navigating healthcare, both private and NHS can be difficult and very confusing for people. Firstly, people often don’t know how to access private healthcare services. Once they do, they can find it to be very fragmented. They find themselves arranging their own care. We recognise these challenges and have organised our business to simplify things and help patients access the healthcare services they need. This is what we’re doing:

  • Working with partners, like Medbelle. Medbelle is a digital hospital service. They provide personalised Patient Care Advisers who provide individual support to patients throughout their entire healthcare journey. They sort out the logistical challenges involved in coordinating care from different specialists. Jump to this link to read more about how this partnership benefits our patients
  • We are a Physio ONLY practice. This makes choice easier for patients. People always ask us: “Why should I choose Physiotherapy above other practitioners who also say they can help me with my condition?”.  We made this video, where our Physio Partners address this question head-on. This link will quickly take you to that video on our News feed
  • We’ve simplified our pricing by having one set price for all routine assessments and treatments
  • You don’t need a GP referral to come to see us. Our Physios are all First Contact Practitioners. This means they have the experience and advanced skills necessary to assess, diagnose and recommend appropriate treatment or referral for musculoskeletal problems on a patient’s first contact with healthcare services.
  • We are also the 1st Physio practice in the UK to have built “People Participation” into our way of working. “People Participation” is a new movement happening in healthcare. It brings in the insights, skills and experience of people with lived experience of health conditions. We have set up a group of “Improvement Partners”. These are people who have lived experience of trying to navigate many health services, including ours, to seek the help they need. They work collaboratively with us and we learn from their insights. This helps to guide our decisions around service improvement and change. Amongst other things, they help us to simplify our services and how we interact with other clinical team

We will continue to find ways to help people access the care they need!
